With the unfolding of the impeachment drama, almost all key government officials, led by no less than the President, have seemingly forgotten that 90% of the citizens of this country have other needs – food, shelter, jobs and education.

If the President were to demand of his Cabinet and his Congress the same tenacity they now exhibit in running after just one person and use their concerted efforts in uplifting the needs of the country, will we then experience even just a bit of improvement and will we see, finally, our country and people slowly rise up and take control of our fate? Politicians can only do so far. Let us do our share – let us raise our voices and tell those who we PAY to work in the government to focus on the necessities and not on dramas that may earn them the vote of the masses. For even if we run after and get the money from an embattled former president by trampling on persons who may or may not have supported her, we still won’t feel victorious unless our people are fed and given an opportunity to live.
